Nanuet at Dawn

Nanuet Sky at DawnThis morning marks our granddaughter’s first birthday.

What a beautiful gift she was given this morning.  Of course, she is too little to even understand it, but someday when she is older, we’ll show her this picture.

The picture was snapped by Doesiedoats. You can see more of her work here.

The Hamlets in Nanuet NY 10954

I just had to resurrect these photos of a beautiful snowfall.

Condo living is great. No snow to shovel. The bobcats take care of it.

Nanuet 2010 Winter Blue Heron

Blue Heron in Nanuet NY 10954 We had a wonderful blizzard in Rockland County NY yesterday.

Hubby and I got out bright and early this morning, went to Starbucks for “kawfee” and then drove around and snapped some photos of some homes that Rockland County Real Estate marketed and/or sold this past year in Nanuet, NY.

It was great fun.  My goodness that wind was whipping around like crazy.

The STORM of late 2010.  We won’t soon forget that one!

Heavenly Hamlets Snowfall 12.26.2010

Heavenly Hamlets!

We ventured outside our door on the morning of December 27th and were met by this wonderful winter wonderland.

I, Angela (the broker/owner of this firm) am originally from Upstate N.Y., and when I say upstate, I really mean way upstate NY.  Albany area as a child and the Adirondacks as an adult.  I LOVE snow.  To be clear, I don’t like driving in it, but I love love love walking in it, watching it fall, reading a good book and sipping something delicious as it gently,  or even not so gently, makes its way from Heaven to our place on earth.

Home for me, is The Hamlets in Nanuet, and on the night of December 26 we were blessed with buckets of it.  Condo living makes enjoying the snow so much easier, as we personally don’t have to shovel it off our driveways or even off our walkways.  The Knolls East Condo Association, and all the other associations (5 of them) which make up The Hamlets do a wonderful job.

So quite early in the day on Monday, hubby and I dressed up warmly, went to Starbucks (yeah Starbucks was open) for “kawfee” and then rode around The Hamlets and various other Nanuet places snapping photos.  It was a blast.  Early afternoon the sun came out, the bobcats were all around our house and I delighted in taking some HD video.  It was a great day.  Below are some of the photos.
